To provide a loving home environment for abandoned children so that they can grow into balanced successful adults.
To set up a family environment with loving, faithful parents where foster children can experience a real family life.
To provide foster children with the necessary education and life skills.
To ensure a good education after school and assist with settling into independent adulthood.
John and Joanne Schultz, both have full time occupations, but felt that they had an opportunity to use the time, treasure and talents that God had given them to make a difference in the lives of the children. They have taken on a huge responsibility, but see this as their calling to foster the 3 boys and 3 girls of primary and high school ages. They also support the 2 children whom attend special needs facilities.
They have accepted the children from Boucher House as part of their family and will care for them as they did their own two adult children. John & Joanne says: “We believe that each person in our family has a God-given purpose to fulfil and we encourage each child in taking steps towards that end.
The children currently attend primary and high schools close by and take part in school sports. They attend a Christian Church as a family and the children attend youth programs on a Friday afternoon as part of their spiritual development.
“We have been together as a family since January 2018. We enjoy doing things together whether it’s a walk to the park, a trip to the beach, chilling in front of the TV, swimming in our pool or braaing. Life is always busy in our home as you can imagine, and everyone has a part to play in making our home function in a loving, caring and disciplined environment. We love having family and friends around – the more the merrier.”

We are a non-profit organisation, currently in the process of registering as a public benefit organisation. The main beneficiary is Boucher House in Monte Vista. Our long term goal is to establish more foster homes to care for abandoned children in our community.
Nceda Phambili has a management committee who meet monthly and is responsible for all legal, financial and funding matters. Together with the foster parents they have the objective to become a more financially independent, stable and secure organisation that can provide for these children in such a way that they will enter adulthood with the best upbringing and preparation possible.
We are planning ahead to ensure that each child will be able to get a proper education after school and be equipped to operate independently when they leave the care of the foster parents.
To help us achieve our vision, we need and value the active support of businesses and individuals in our community. It is impossible to care for the children relying only on the available government grant that is received per child. Regular monthly contributions will help us become the stable organisation that we wish to become.
All operational matters are managed by the foster parents, 1 staff member and volunteers.
